About Your 2026 Nissan Rogue

Nissan is one of the most-serviced Japanese brands in our shop after Toyota and Honda. Altima, Rogue, Sentra, Frontier, and Pathfinder are everywhere on the First Coast, and Nissan's NATS (Nissan Anti-Theft System) immobilizer family is one of the most aftermarket-friendly platforms in the industry. NATS has been on Nissans since 1999 and the modern NATS 6+ revision is well documented across every popular trim. Intelligent Key (Nissan's smart key) was introduced in 2007 and is now standard across the lineup. The most useful thing to know about Nissan keys: when you only have one fob, all-keys-lost programming is straightforward but the price difference vs ordering a spare while you still have a working key is roughly $50 — well worth the early visit.

Rogue is Nissan's volume crossover and one of our most-frequent Japanese SUV jobs. The 3rd-generation Rogue (2021+) uses an updated Intelligent Key with the new Nissan logo design. Programming is straightforward — 35 minutes on-site.

2018-and-newer Nissans use the latest revision of NATS 6+ with the redesigned Intelligent Key fob. The 2023+ Z (revived sports car) shares its key platform with the 2023+ Pathfinder — same underlying chip, different shell.

Common issues we see

Two recurring Nissan patterns: (1) Intelligent Key fobs needing re-sync after the 12V battery is disconnected — this is a 5-minute on-site fix; (2) the chrome plating on Altima and Maxima fobs (2013–2018) flaking around the buttons — easy shell swap.

Crossovers share most of their key platform with the sedan version of the same model year. Programming time and blank cost are nearly identical to the comparable sedan.

Immobilizer (NATS 6+): Nissan's NATS 6+ is the oldest modern immobilizer still in active use — it's been on Nissans since 1999 and is one of the easiest platforms to program.

Why book us for your Nissan Rogue

Frequently asked questions

How much does a Nissan Altima or Rogue key cost?+

Altima / Rogue spare keys start at $149 cut and programmed on-site. All-keys-lost starts at $199. Older models with the basic transponder key (no Intelligent Key) can be even less.

My Nissan Intelligent Key won't open the doors — is the fob dead?+

Usually it's the CR2025 coin battery, not the fob. Try a fresh battery first. If the issue persists we can re-sync on-site in 20 minutes.

Can you make a Nissan key without the original?+

Yes. We do all-keys-lost programming on-site at your home or workplace. Bring the title or registration plus a government ID.
